Unspoilt Alpine hut – exclusive only to our hotel guests
Passionate hikers and mountain enthusiasts will find everything they could wish for in Tyrol’s Sport & Vital Park Achensee. With 500 km of well-maintained and clearly marked hiking trails, ranging from gentle, easy paths to challenging routes reaching up to 2,457 meters, the region offers an exceptional hiking experience through a stunning and diverse natural landscape. The Achensee region is also well known for its unique hiking events, such as the legendary Karwendel March, which leads hikers 52 km through the Karwendel Nature Park.
It is no coincidence that the Achensee region is known as Tyrol’s Sport & Vital Park. Nestled between the Rofan Mountains and the Karwendel massif, Tyrol’s largest lake lies in a region that offers limitless hiking enjoyment set against a truly unique natural backdrop.
On the partially serviced alpine pastures, you will experience genuine Tyrolean hospitality accompanied by traditional regional delicacies—from Kaiserschmarrn to Pressknödel.
Our “own alpine hut,” the Jochalm, is located on a beautiful mountain tour to the Hochplatte. Along the way, there are no serviced huts, making this an exclusive refreshment stop reserved solely for our hotel guests. In addition, the Jochalm offers a breathtaking view of the Tyrolean fjord.
This year, we have already been able to offer a variety of special tours to “our alpine hut”: an alpine breakfast at sunrise and, in the afternoon, a traditional Alm Marende.
