Nature as the “Best Pharmacy” – Regional and Wholesome

For many years now, it has been our goal to use as many foods as possible from organic contract farmers in the surrounding area in our hotel kitchen. We have long since said goodbye to industrially manufactured agricultural products that certainly no longer deserve to be called “food.”

We are fortunate in Austria to have the highest density of organic farmers in Europe. Even in Achenkirch, where we only have part-time farmers, most of them are certified by AMA (Agrar Marketing Austria). Game from local forests and fish from nearby waters are genuine delicacies. Even when it comes to wines and spirits, we are well supplied by local or Demeter-certified producers. For several years in a row, we have already been honored with the award as a “Bewusst-Tirol” business.

Hotel Achentalerhof triumphed at the world’s toughest competition for tourism advertising, the “T.A.I. Werbe Grand Prix” 2016. The public voted — and the hotel’s website received the “Signum Laudis in Bronze.” What makes the T.A.I. Werbe Grand Prix unique is the public voting, which complements the verdict of the professional jury.
