Tempting the imagination: Only once in winter to sit outside the Jochalm in perfect stillness and watch the skiers on the opposite side skiing down the slopes of the Christlum skiing area. We had this idea for around 10 years ago and so we decided to buy some snow-shoes. Since then we have been really fanzinated with this trend sport. The heavenly peacefulness of the winter, the enthusiasm of observing the wild-life – their behavior, following the tracks through the snow…. The various shapes in the ice, the glittering crystals in the snow, how the wind covers the tree-trunks and hangs with snow, huts and small bridges – it’s amazing! Year in and year out we spend more time hiking through the winter!
